Public investments effect on the private investment in Brazil from 1971 to 2016: an empirical analysis using vector error correction model

This work aims to analyze whether the investments of public administrations complement or replace private sector investments in Brazil between 1971 and 2016. Using the Error Correction Vector Model methodology, the results show that the crowding in effect of government investments predominates under the investments of the private sector. The results of the econometric estimations suggest that a 1% increase in public sector investments causes a 1.33% increase in private sector investments.

Admission to first job and reemployment in the braziliannortheast: an analysis of wage differentials

Determinants of cooking fuel choice among households in Wolaita zone, Southern Ethiopia

The quality of household energy usage has a link with sustainable development. In order to increase the use of clean energy sources of the household, it is better to understand households’ decisions their fuel consumptions. This paper therefore aims to examine factors that determine households’ cooking fuel choice in rural and semi urban area of Wolaita Zone. This study is conducted based on cross sectional data collected from 205 household by using simple random sampling technique.

Production of fermented beverage using tiger nut milk, coconut and coconut water

This study sought to explore the possibilities of creating a fermented drink from coconut and tiger nut which can be used as a beverage, to conduct a sensory evaluation on the product and observe the shelf-life of the product. By this new product the study sought to address the problem of non-communicable diseases in Ghana. A descriptive study design was employed in which a sample of 50 untrained respondents (consumer panel) was selected by simple random to assess the product’s sensory characteristics and indicate their preferences.

Volumetric and economic losses in the mechanized forest harvest of pinus taedal

The objective of this paper was to quantify the volumetric and economic losses after clearcutting interventions in the mechanized forest harvest of Pinus taeda L. The study was carried out in a forest company in which the harvesting system of short logs is used in the mechanized modules. Different assortments were analyzed considering the dimensions and price marketed. The volume of the logs left in the field after the intervention was measured with Smalian method.

This paper attempts to identify household adaptation strategies to reduce vulnerability due to climate change.

Applications of experimental design techniques, through the use of diagnostic statistical functions and graphical methods, to identify the random error that could have occurred in the traditional decaying values of technetium-99

Objective: Use of Experimental Design Statistics to identify the random errors that are occurring in the established or traditional decaying values of the disintegrations of Technetium-99 per time. Methodology: Usage of the conventional Tc-99 data, and its subsequent graphing. Plotting of logarithmic transformations, to check the order the reaction law aimed at the identification of experimental errors.
