Prevalence of gastro intestinal parasite among primary school Sudanese children in Banat & Alhalanga villages in Kassala Sudan

Background: In order to identify the prevalence rate of intestinal parasitic infections among primary school children, this cross sectional study conducted in Banat and Alhalanga areas in Kassala State. The study involved one hundred stool samples collected from children aged under 13 years. By using direct wet preparation, flotation technique and formal ether concentration technique to process the samples, the results showed that, 45 children about (45 %) were harboring different gastrointestinal parasites.

Clinical presentation of patients with acute appendicitis and factors associated with delayed presentation at yekatit 12 medical college hospital

Background: Acute appendicitis is one of the commonest surgical abdominal emergencies. Delayed presentation leads to complications. Different factors are responsible for delayed presentation. Objective: The study was conducted to assess the clinical presentation and factors responsible for delayed presentation in patients with acute appendicitis at Yekatit 12 Medical College Hospital. Methods: A retrospective analysis of patients with clinical diagnosis of acute appendicitis from September 1, 2013 to August 31, 2016. Results: The male to female ratio was 2.3:1. The mean age was 20.2 years.

Use of two by four appliance: a treatment modality for the correction of malaligned maxillary anterior teeth during mixed dentition period

The 2x4 appliance consists of bonded brackets on the maxillary incisors, bands on the first permanent maxillary molars and a continuous archwire inserted into buccal tubes of the molar bands. It has many advantages over other techniques; it provides total control of anterior tooth position, is very well accepted by the patient, does not require any adjustment and allows precise and rapid positioning of the teeth. This article presents two cases of correction of malpositioned upper anterior teeth with the help of 2x4 appliances.

Study on some variables of relationship between healthy lifestyle behaviors and health responsibilities of university students (batman example)

This study have been conducted for the purpose of determining the healthy lifestyle behaviors of Batman university students by means of a few demographic variables. Subject group consists of 512 students (male 290 / female 222) who attend to the 2nd term of 2014-2015 school year. "Healthy Lifestyle Behaviors Scale" which has been developed by Walker et al. and adapted to Turkishby Ebem, has been used as the study scale. The scale is the liker type and consists of total 43 questions, 9 of which are about demographic info and 34 of which are about healthy lifestyle behaviors.

Evaluation of the neonatal screening in the identification of hemoglobin s: biological collection

Background: The aim of this manuscript was to evaluate the neonatal screening in the identification of hemoglobin S specifically the biological collection in the state of Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil, in the period from 2011 to 2015. Methodology: This is a descriptive study that analyzed information about the National Neonatal Screening Program for hemoglobinopathies contained in the database of the Research Institute, Study and Diagnostics of the Association of Parents and Friends of the Exceptional in Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil.
