Discursive memory and sense-effects in the case of corruption the operation of one-fifth of the gold

This essay presents the partial results of a research study conducted at the Discourse Analysis Research Laboratory (Laboratório de Pesquisa em Análise de Discurso, or LAPADis) on the Operation One-Fifth of the Goldand the interference of this case in the exercise of democracy and in the violation of fundamental human rights. The analysis is founded upon theoretical presuppositions that articulate Memory, Law and Discourse Analysis.

Human ecology: Science or paradigm?

This research aims to discuss the scientific status of human ecology in Brazil. As a methodological proposal, a bibliographic review was conducted on the topic, using the contributions of national authors, which allowed the analysis of information through the construction of articulated links. To do this, the following points were established as parameters for the evaluation of scientific status: the existence of concepts; hypotheses and propositions; and methods and research techniques specific to human ecology.

The aim of this study is to investigate the constraints on English-Arabic-English Code-switching. It is an attempt to trace the phenomena in terms of matrix/guest language and constraints. It investigates the components of switching with respect to the morphological and structural typological constraints. The present study is important because it provides a better understanding of the constraints of code switching phenomenon.
