Financial statement analysis of OPTCL, BBSR

This work dealt with the financial analysis of a company, OPTCL. The purpose of this thesis was to assess the financial situation of the company in the years between 2012 and 2017, by using various tools of financial statement analysis in order to recommend necessary precaution for company’s economic improvements. The whole work consisted of two parts: theoretical and analytical. The first part described importance and methods of financial statement analysis as well as its users.

Asean integration: students' initial experience in a State Funded University

This study aimed at identifying the different perceptions of the Jose Rizal Memorial State University System during the academic year 2016-2017. Specifically, it endeavored to find out the rating of the availability of the educational services in JRMSU vis-à-vis ASEAN Integration and their degree of agreement on the perceptions of the initial adaptation of ASEAN Integration. The descriptive survey, which is a descriptive method of research, was utilized in the study. The chosen respondents were given equal chance to contribute data in the study through random sampling.

Emerging role of ICT in Indian agriculture

India's agriculture sector continues to be the lifeline of its people and a key factor in the economy's overall productivity. Agriculture is an important part of India's economy and at present it is among the top two farm producers in the world. This sector provides approximately 52 percent of the total number of jobs available in India and contributes around 17.32 percent to the GDP. Agriculture is the only means of living for almost two-thirds of the employed class in India.

A study on consumer perception towards marketing by fmcg companies

Marketing plays a very important role in fulfilling the purpose of spreading awareness among the people that a particular product or service exists. This research paper intends to throw some light on this aspect by bringing forward the consumer’s perception towards marketing done by FMCG companies. When studies were conducted regarding the same, it was found that most of the consumers found cause related marketing important and the fact that it does affect their buying decision.

The cause of low enrolment of females in secondary education: a comparative study between Bangladesh and Pakistan

Education is the fundamental right to every citizen. As developing countries, Bangladesh and Pakistan have many challenges to meet. Among the challenges, to ensure female education is the most important. In this research, the issue of gender imbalance in education and right to education within the two countries have been analyzed with recommendations. This study is qualitative and both primary and secondary sources of data have been used.

Elderly people with self-reported systemic arterial hypertension: health conditions and functional capacity

Systemic arterial hypertension with a significant incidence in the elderly population, associated with functional disability and other comorbidities, is a public health problem. This study aimed to verify the functional capacity and comorbidities of elderly patients with systemic arterial hypertension. It is a cross-sectional, population-based study using questionnaires on sociodemographic, behavioral and anthropometric data, as well as on morbidity, use of medicines and functional capacity assessment. We interviewed 286 elderly individuals who self-reported arterial hypertension.

Development transition from least developed country (LDC) to developing country: current progress and challenges of Bangladesh

Bangladesh has recently (2018) fulfilled the conditions for becoming a developing country from the least developed country which will be further reviewed by the United Nations Committee for Development Policy (UNCPD). If the progress become satisfactory, ECOSOC (Economic and Social Council) of UN will confirm graduation of Bangladesh as a developing country by 2024. Therefore, this study evaluates the development transition including current progresses and challenges ahead of Bangladesh for its smooth graduation by using World Bank and UN data.

Right to information (RTI) act in the context of assam upama saikia

India is a democratic country. People are the masters; therefore masters have a right to know how the government meant to serve them are functioning. Thus, freedom of information is directly related to this connotation of democracy. RTI is an institutional reality of freedom of information which has been taken by the Indian Parliament. RTI ACT 2005 is a significant landmark that gives Indians access to government records. This legislation is a radical improvement on the relatively weak and ineffective statute which seeks to replace the Freedom of Information Act, 2002.

Students’ involvement in sports activities: basis for sports development program

Participation in differ rent sports activities plays a significant role in the enrichment of a student’s social life and the development of social interaction skills. This study aimed to evaluate the Jose Rizal Memorial State University-Katipunan Campus students’ involvement in sports activities. It utilized the descriptive method that used 318 students participating sports activities.
