Management of school funds by secondary school principals: Implications for effective job productivity

This study investigated the management of school funds by secondary school principals for effective job productivity in Imo State. Three research questions and three null hypotheses were formulated to guide the study. A 24-item researcher developed questionnaire was administered and retrieved from 591 teachers, 60 principals and 59 bursars selected through proportionate stratified random sampling technique from the three education zones (Owerri, Mbaise and Orlu) to establish how secondary school principals manage funds for effective job productivity in Imo State.

Administrative competencies of female principals in secondary schools in nsukka education zone

The study investigated the administrative competencies of female principals in secondary schools in Nsukka Education zone of Enugu State. Three research questions and one null hypothesis guided the study. A 15-item questionnaire was constructed to collect the necessary data for the study. Purposive sampling technique was adopted in selecting all the 10 secondary schools headed by female principals. Stratified random sampling technique was used in selecting 20% of the 818 male and 517 female teachers in Nsukka Education zone. This gave a total of 164 males and 103 females.

No education system can rise above the level of its teachers, hence their crucial role in society. The article looks at the importance of pedagogical courses from the stories as told by pre-service science teachers doing a diploma programme in science education with Bindura University of Science Education. Convenience sampling was used to sample a total of 36 participants who completed a closed 4 –point lirket scale questionnaire.

The state of Jammu and Kashmir is India’s northernmost state. According to the census of 2011, the state has a population of 1.25 crores with 66, 65,561 males and 58, 83,365 females. There is an expressed need to have counseling   services that gives them   accurate information and ongoing psychological support. Hence the focus has to be on community   and home based interactions. Home based interactions; HIV counseling is here to stay. The need is to put it in place and work out conditions that are suitable for local conditions.

Female reproductive right violation in Igbo land has been a problema criticum over the decades, and has persisted irrespective of the efforts to bring it to a minimum proportion. To this end, this paper examines philosophically the forms of violence against women with its counseling effect. The purpose is to highlight the fundamental and essential component of such primitive practice, with the intention of proffering strategies that could be used to avert such occurrence in the contemporary age.

Analysis of women extension agents effectiveness in technology transfer in Imo state, Nigeria

Women Extension Agents in technology Transfer in Imo State, Nigeria was the major issue. The study specifically ascertained women extension agents (WEAs) effectiveness in the transfer of technology and investigate the influence of socio-economic characteristics of the WEAs in relation to their effectiveness in technology transfer. Simple random and purposive sampling techniques were adopted in selecting 120 Contact Farmers (CFs) and 24 WEAs. A structured questionnaire was used to obtain the primary data which was subjected to both Chi-squarred and regression analysis.

The influence of job stress on family social behaviour of commercial bank workers in Enugu state, Nigeria

The study investigated the influence of job stress on family social behaviour of bankers in Enugu State of Nigeria. The study was aimed at identifying the sources and influences of job stress on bankers. The study which adopted a descriptive survey design was carried out among 330 marketing bank staff working in selected commercial banks in Enugu State.
