Purpose: The purpose of the study is to examine the effect of ownership structure on voluntary disclosure of information on intellectual capital.
Design/methodology/approach:We use a sample of 50 Canadian companies listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange for 2012. The extent of disclosure is measured by the index of Li et al., (2008).

This article is study of some research reports, journals and literatures on political corruption as white collar crime as happened in Indonesia parliament and political Parties. The results found five political corruption models: 1) official policy framing model, 2) development plan passage model, 3) project budget mark-up model 4) buying and selling votes model and 5) bribe/money political model.

Profile of the of illegal financial investment institutions of cotonou in Benin

This article aims at analyzing the individual and environmental factors that determined the loss of the savers to a Ponzi scheme known in Benin as ICC et al. Data was collected on the populations of Cotonou thanks to an investigation with 5000 households representative of the city. A multilevel logit model was used to research the environmental and individual factors that lead a man or a woman into investing their savings in an illegal institution.

Corruption and economic growth in Zimbabwe: Unravelling the linkages

Corruption impedes investment and economic growth by increasing enterprises’ cost of doing business. This cost is often transferred to consumers through higher prices or lower quality of goods and services, which affect negatively the private sector’s labour market, efficiency, competition, innovation and general output. The mainimpetus of this paper is to investigate the linkage between corruption and economic growth in Zimbabwe. The study relies on a quantitative methodology by employing a multivariate regression equation using annual time series data.

The study has attempted to analyse the suggestions expressed by the tribal farmers for better utilization of indigenous agricultural practices in Pachaimalai hills. This study was conducted in Pachaimalai hills of Trichy District of Tamilnadu. It occupies a prominent position in tribal population of Tamilnadu. A sample size of hundred respondents was selected on the basis of proportionate random sampling techniques. Data were collected by interviewing the respondents personally with the help of pre-tested and well-structured interview schedule.

Effectiveness of computer-based instruction: An analysis by gender

This study was designed to explore the instructional potential of a Computer-Based Instruction (CBI) program in the teaching of probability concepts to form three mathematics curriculum in selected secondary schools in Kenya.  Specifically, the study reported herein sought to determine whether there was a statistically significant difference by gender on students exposed to the computer based instruction in terms of the students’ achievement, their perception of the learning environment, and their attitudes and motivation during the instructional process in the area of probability.
