Prevalence of somatic symptoms in portuguese children and its association with symptoms of depression and anxiety

Introduction: Somatization is a generic term to define a group of experiential, cognitive and behavioral characteristics of patients suffering from physical symptoms. In this scope, some previous studies have reported a relation between somatic symptoms and disorders related to anxiety and depression. 

Effect of foliar application of zinc and boron on yield and fruit quality of litchi cv. Dehradun

The present investigation was conducted in the litchi orchard of Sh. S.S. ParmarNangal, Pathankot and in the laboratory of department of horticulture, Khalsa College, Amritsar in the year 2015 to assess the effect of foliar application of zinc sulphate and boron both at the concentrations of 0.3 %, 0.6% and 0.9% on the yield and quality of litchi cv. Dehradun. The results of the study indicated that the application of boron 0.9% resulted in maximum fruit weight (22.17 g), fruit size (4.31 x 3.71 cm), pulp weight (17.22 g) and fruit yield per tree (116.74 kg).

Empirical research of the relation in teaching economics between secondary and higher education

The aim of this paper is to study the relation of the course 'Principles of Economic Theory' of Lyceum (secondary education) with the curriculum of Accounting Departments in Greece. An empirical research is realised to students of three Accounting Departments in Greece, in order to study this relation. Information and comments regarding the course and the curriculum of the Departments are given simultaneously with the statistical analysis. The analysis concludes that there is a strong relation between the course and the curriculums.

The efficacy of intranasal administration of dexmedetomidine, ketamine and morphine combination to rabbit

The sedative effects of intranasal dexmedetomidine, ketamine and morphinecombination were evaluated in rabbits.  A combination of 0.1 mg/kg dexmedetomidine, ketamine 20 mg/kg and 0.4 mg/kg morphine was administered by inserting a lubricated catheter in intranasal. The sedation score was classified as ‘deep’ from 2 to 20 minutes, ‘moderate’ from 20 to 30 minutes, the sedation level was insufficient from 30 to 45 minutes. The rabbits were all awake at 60 minutes. The analgesic score stayed highest (absence of Pedal withdrawal reflex) from 2 to 20 minutes.
