Background: Fire disasters in secondary schools lead to deaths and destruction of property. Consequently, there is a need to identify the causes and also evaluate the preparedness for fire outbreaks. Methods: A descriptive cross-sectional study design was used to investigate the causes of fire outbreak and evaluated the level of preparedness for fire outbreak in boarding secondary schools in Nyamira County, Kenya. Purposive sampling method was used to select 50 principals and 5 Sub-county educational officers from the schools.

Objetivos: compreender a percepção da pessoa idosa acerca da qualidade de vida Métodos: Trata-se de um estudo de revisão integrativa, realizada entre os meses de Março e Abril do ano de 2020, através da busca na Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde (BVS), compreendendo as bases de dados PubMed e Scientific Electronic Library Online (SCIELO). Foram incluídos neste estudo 8 artigos científicos publicados nos anos de 2010 a 2020. Os dados obtidos foram analisados através da revisão da literatura, levantando as informações, compondo um corpo textual.

Objetivo: Analisar as publicações científicas sobre Desastres Naturais (DN) e seus impactos na saúde coletiva. Método: -se de uma Revisão Integrativa da Literatura, realizada nas bases de dadoscientíficas. Foram elencados nove artigos completos,publicados entre 2009 a 2019. Resultados: A análise da literatura possibilitou a elaboração de três categorias pautadas em pontos relevantes, a saber: Categoria 1- DN e suas repercussões sobre a qualidade de vida da população atingida, Categoria 2 – Prevenção de doenças em cenários de catástrofes e Categoria 3 – Políticas públicas relacionadas à DN.

The Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) are important are important contributors to the Brazilian economy, generating jobs and being an alternative to the informal job market. However, high mortality rates are an uncomfortable reality; in Brazil approximately 40% of MPEs end their activities before the second year of activity. The research aims to investigate which epigenetic factors interfere in the assessment of the frequency of micronuclei in basal cells of the uterine mucosa. This is an experimental study carried out after approval by the ethics and research committee with the number: 3,679,998.

Objective: To estimate the prevalence of metabolic syndrome and its association with sociodemographic, behavioral, reproductive and clinical factors in climacteric women. Methods: Cross-sectional and analytical study with probabilistic cluster sampling. The study included 874 women, aged between 40 and 65 years, registered in 73 Family Health Strategy units in the city of Montes Claros, Minas Gerais, Brazil. Data were obtained through questionnaires, anthropometric evaluation and blood collection. For statistical analysis, the hierarchical Poisson regression model was adopted.

Objective: To know the social representations of women in deprivation of liberty in the face of the diagnosis of syphilis. Method: the study was carried out at the Santa Luzia Female Prison, located in Maceió, Alagoas, from July to December 2017. For data collection, the semi-structured interview technique, guided by an interview form, was applied. The discussion of the results obtained was built from the thematic categorization by the technique of content analysis in interrelation with the Theory of Social Representations.

Therapeutic cloning opens new perspectives for regenerative medicine, it would represent a major advance in the fight against diseases now considered incurable, and would save many lives.

Este artigo pretende apresentar alguns possíveis princípios para uma interdisciplinaridade ecológica e contextualizada com base na ideia de ecosofia contida em As três ecologias de Félix Guattari. Para tanto, detalha-se o contexto histórico e biográfico pertinentes à elaboração de As três ecologias. Em seguida, expõe-se o projeto da ecosofia e seus princípios. Por fim, do ponto de vista dos resultados, explicita-se de que maneira os princípios da ecosofia possam ser utilizados como princípios para uma interdisciplinaridade ecológica e contextualizada.
