In assessing the prevalence and determinants of eye injuries in heavy industries in Tema, Ghana, a descriptive cross-sectional study was undertaken. Fifty-eight (58) workers of three heavy industries located in Tema, Ghana were sampled for the research. Workers’ responses on age, level of education, years of working and active use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), amongst others were taken. Statistical Package for Social Sciences version 20.0 was used to analyse the data. Of the 58 participants, 16 (27.6%) reported having had one ocular injury or the other.

This work presents a boost converter design methodology for active power factor correction, using finite con- trol set model-based predictive control (FCS-MPC) for current control. Moreover, an external proportional integrative (PI) volt- age control loop design methodology is explained. This paper also compares the conventional PI current control with MPC current for this application, both in transient load disturbance condition and in steady state different load conditions.

The Purpose of the study was to standardize the Siddha formulation-Adhatodai Kudineer (ADK). Initially, Organoleptic characters like appearance, colour, taste and odour of ADK was noted. ADK was screened for moisture content, total ash value, acid insoluble ash, water soluble extractive value, alcohol soluble extractive value, microbial load, specific pathogen to estimate the quality of study drug. Aqueous extract and ethanol extract of ADK were taken by soxhlet method using 30 gram of sample and 210 ml of solvent.

This is a descriptive, cross-sectional, quantitative study developed between July 2014 and July 2016 with parents or caregivers of 10 children and 40 adolescents with type 1 diabetes mellitus. The participants were interviewed in their homes with prior scheduling.

This study examines the relationship between green accounting and firm performance in Nigerian paints and chemical industry. The study adopts ex post facto research design. The population of the study is the entire firms operating in the Nigerian paints and chemical industry as at 2016.The study samples five firms out of the larger population which were drawn using simple random sampling technique.
