Examination of the impact of 8-week plyometric training applied on young football players on certain selected motoric parameters

In this study, it has been aimed to determine whether the 8-week specially designed plyometric training has an impact on certain selected motoric parameters of young football players. 30 certified athletes who play football in Istanbul Sultanbeyli Belediyespor Club Youth Academy that have been selected by random sampling method participated to the study voluntarily. Before and after 8-week of plyometric training, 30 m sprint, medicine ball sit-up throw, push-up, pull-up, plank and standing long jump measurements of the players have been taken.

Performance improvement of induction motor by using direct torque control technique

Direct torque control (DTC) of induction machine is known to have a simple control structure with comparable performance to that of the field-oriented control technique. Major problems that are usually associated with DTC drives is high torque ripple. In this paper torque ripple of the induction motor is reduced. This torque ripple is reduced by adding dither signal in to the torque and flux control loop. A conventional DTC control of three phase induction motor is modified by injecting high frequency and small amplitude triangular waveform in to torque and flux error.

Efficacy of casein phosphopeptide - amorphous calcium phosphate in combating sports drinks dental enamel erosion – an invitro study

Background:- Sports drinks are becoming increasingly popular as well as being encouraged with regular exercise. pH of these drinks are less than normal pH and found to be acidic. These acidic beverages are thought to increase potential for dental erosion. Casein Phosphopeptide - Amorphous Calcium Phosphate CPP-ACP complex helps to release Calcium, Phosphate ions to form apatite crystals. In acidic conditions, these calcium, phosphate ions are released from crystal complex and facilitate to reduce the extent of demineralization. This concept forms the basis for the study.

Comparative performance evaluation & systematic screening of 2-methf as green solvent for cost effective, improved industrial production of tramadol hydrochloride

Tramadol is a drug with analgesic properties. 2-Methyltetrahydrofuran (2-MeTHF) is employed as single solvent system for synthesis of Tramadol base, which involves Mannich base preparation followed by Grignard reaction. The solvent effect on the Grignard reaction as well as subsequent stages either for isolation or extraction has been systematically evaluated based on reaction efficiency, ease of subsequent work-up, safety and greenness. 2-Methyltetrahydrofuran (2-MeTHF), which can be derived from renewable resources, had superior impact on overall process.

Result of research on satisfaction of university professors

Motivation methods are used as a main tool for managing human resources in order to carry out organizations’ business efforts successfully and improve entities’s productivity and efficiency. The research was conducted based on a university example. We aimed to determine the different kind of motivating methods that today’s entities are using, and some of the methods that are more efficient to motivate employees.

Study of microcrystalline cellulose as a substitute of magnesium stearate towards functionality of lubricant in aspirin formulation

In pharmaceutical industries, magnesium stearate is used as a lubricating agent. It is frequently used in the solid dosage forms. In solid dosage forms generally it is used in the concentration of 0.2 % to 2.0%. However, it decreases hardness of tablet in some formulations. Microcrystalline cellulose is very good excipient, it has excellent binding property. In solid dosage forms, it works as a good lubricant, disintegrant, binder and filler. Concentration of lubricants in formulation should be balanced in terms of the adverse effects of used lubricant.
