Background: Birth asphyxia is an important cause of neonatal morbidity and mortality worldwide, with approximately 4 million asphyxiated babies and 2 million neonatal deaths each year. Objectives: to identify antepartum, intrapartum, and fetal risk factors of birth asphyxia and their effect on neonatal survival. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted on 286 neonates with birth asphyxia in neonatal intensive care unit of Misurata Central Hospital, Libya. We retrospectively analyzed the hospital records from August 2015 to July 2016.

Background: Vitamin A, D and K deficiency is associated with various diseases in the pediactric population and generates negative impact with regard to the outcome of Intensive Care Unit (ICU) stay. This manuscript aimed to report new information on the impact of vitamin A, D and K deficiency in ICU pediatric patients. Methods: The following keywords were used: vitamin A, D and K deficiency, infant’s mortality, pediatric intensive care unit. A research was conducted in Pub Med, Medline, Scopus, Web of Science, and Lilacs electronic databases for the studies published up to 1 January 2018.

Aim of the Study: To evaluate the effectiveness of a single application of MET in comparison to passive stretch on hip extension ROM over a 30 minute follow up period. Material & Methodology: Study Design- Experimental trial using a controlled crossover design, Sample size-Total of 30 subjects i.e, n=30 (15 in each group), Type of sampling-purposive sampling with alternatively allocation to the experimental group. Study Duration-A total of 8 weeks were included to conduct the study.

Over the past decade, instructors in colleges and universities increasingly have used Audience Response Systems (ARS) typically in large classes to increase the level of student engagement and learning. Research shows that both students and instructors perceive ARS to be beneficial, although evidence of improved learning has been less clear. Experts emphasize that instructors must consider how technology might enhance good pedagogy in order for increases in learning to occur.

Temporomandibular joint (TMJ) ankylosis may be defined as a fibrous or bony union of the complex of articular disc and bony condyle along with the glenoid fossa of temporal bone resulting in restricted mandibular movements. It may manifest unilaterally or bilaterally. Hip joint dysplasia is also another orthopaedic complication resulting in looseness and general instability of the hip joint. Co-existence of these two lesions is very rare and probably this case is the first of its kind as far as the literature review is available till date. There lies the importance of this case.

Magnetic field strength is one of the most important physical parameters of neutron star.

Gestation is a unique period during which exposure to a particular drug involves two organisms: the mother and the fetus. The risk of self-medication and the ingestion of tablets without medical evaluation comes at a double dose for pregnant women: both the woman and the fetus can fall victim to the side effects of medications, ranging from a simple allergy to poor fetal formation. The objective of this study was to describe the profile of self-medication in pregnant women in a municipality of Cariri Cearense.

Background: The World Health Organization describes the metabolic syndrome (MS) as a "21st Century Pandemic." The pathogenesis of MS is complex and completely not studied, which justifies the importance of conducting research in this field, including experimental ones. Recently, in order to treat MS and its complications, along with drug therapy, non-pharmacological agents are used - natural therapeutic resources, which include mineral water (MW).

Elderly people with fall antecedent demand intense care during and after rehabilitation, which can lead to physical and psychological caregiver burden, with impact on quality of life. This study aimed to know the experience of family caregivers of elderly people with fall antecedent. This qualitative research used semi-structured interviews with 19 caregivers, and content analysis according to Bardin to analyze data. Family caregivers were predominantly female, unmarried, aged between 47 and 57 years.

Typhoid fever is one of the endemic diseases that show a tendency to increase every year. This disease is caused by Salmonella enterica serotype typhi and paratyphi. However, the resistance of Salmonella typhi against antibiotic usage can lead to antimicrobacterial resistance or multiple drug resistance. Resistance of some strains of Salmonella typhi by using antibiotics in the long term can be harmful for the patient. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of Clitoria ternatea flower extract to inhibit the growth of Salmonella typhi.
