Diagnostic value of serum cancer antigen 125 in ovarian cancer patients

Amongst all gynecological cancers, ovarian cancer is the most lethal malignancy worldwide, aggressive local invasion and the lack of sensitive early screening methods, poses the most difficult in early diagnosis, furthermore, its high mortality rate has made it one of the most investigated fields in gynecological oncology during this year in USA. The aim of the study is to assess the level of serum biomarker cancer antigen (CA-125), among ovarian cancer women at Khartoum State - Sudan.

Effect of spinal mobilization with arm movement in the treatment of cervicobrachial pain syndrome

Study Objectives: To Evaluate the effect of Spinal Mobilization with Arm Movement (SMWAM) and compare its effectiveness with conventional therapy in the treatment of Cervicobrachial pain syndrome. Design: Experimental study. Setting: Subjects were taken from different hospitals and physiotherapy clinics in Bengaluru. Methods: Informed consent will be obtained from the subjects. The total duration of the study was for 4 weeks. The treatment session was of 3 days per week for the total 4 weeks. i.e. 12 sessions.

Effectiveness of a commercial symbiotic in an experimental model of ulcerative colitis

To verify the effects of a commercial symbiotic in an experimental model of ulcerative colitis. For this, male Wistar rats (5 weeks old) were used. The induction of Ulcerative Colitis was performed via intracolonic route with trinitrobenzenesulfonic acid (TNBS) (10mg TNBS/0.75ml ethanol/50%). The animals were distributed in: sham, treated with ultrapure water (CT); colitis, treated with ultrapure water (TNBS CT); colitis, treated with mesalazine (TNBS MES); and colitis, treated with the symbiotic (TNBS SYM).

Multiculturalism: a challenge for education

This manuscript briefly presents some aspects about multiculturalism and its influences on education. The objective of manuscript was to study the relevance of learning regarding the characteristics of multiculturalism for school education. It is a work done through bibliographic studies. Comparison of augmented auditory feedback with and without mental imagery on psychomotor skill learning in precision shooting among rifle shooters

Background: Mental training is a tool for improving learning and performance. Sports imagery defined as using all senses to create or re-create any (sports) experience in the mind (auditory, visual, tactile, olfactory, gustatory, kinaesthetic, organic) with the goal of enhancing sports performance during training and competition. Feedback refers to performance related information. For learning a motor skill the role of task related feedback information is considered an important factor for enhancing the learning.

A methodical qualitative and quantitative study of sublime “violet poison” w.s.r. to rasakarpura

Rasakarpura is one of the Nirgandha murchana bheda of Parada. It appears as a white sublimate with chemical composition of mercuric chloride. The artificially prepared rasakarpura is commonly available in the market, prepared sublimed from metallic mercury, sulphuric acid and rock salt. This compound is widely used for many ayurvedic preparations. It is also known as Mercury bi-chloride or Mercury per-chloride. It appears as crystals or white granules or as powder; in the toxicology field it has a nickname “violet poison”.

Selection participative de haricot commun (phaseolus vulgaris l.) basee sur des caracteres morpho metriques et agronomiques

This research was undertaken within the framework of the participative varietal selection of common bean, associating the agronomic research (INERA) and the peasants of Nkolo in Kongo Central province of DR-Congo. It was based on an evaluation and selection starting from thirty varieties of the germoplasm of the Antenna of the National Grain Legume Program (PNL) of the INERA in Mvuazi, and whose seven varieties were preselected by the peasants by taking account of the morpho metric characters, agronomic requirements, economic, organoleptic and of the consumers.

A revolutionary mini-invasive treatment for cellulite blemishes: 15 months of initial experience

Introduction: In October 2016 I started, as one of the first in Europe, my experience with a new procedure that represents the only FDA-cleared minimally invasive treatment clinically proven to improve the cellulite blemishes for nearly four years in only one session. Materials and Methods: We report our experience after 15 months in 50 patients (48F; 2M) with cellulite treated in a single session.
