The use of the rich fibrin in platelets and leukocytes as alternative treatment for lifting the maxillary sinus- a literature review

Introduction: Currently, the management of higher excellence for the replacement of missing elements in invalid oral patients areosseointegrated implants, but for this, it is necessary enough bone quantity. In many cases, there is a marked resorption, which in the case of the maxilla requires bone grafting, especially in the maxillary sinus lift; Autogenously and xenogeny grafts have been used, as well as their alternative, in this case L-PRF. Objective: This study aims to clarify the need for breast lift using L-PRF; and its applications in the clinical routine of the dental surgeon.

Bilateral dentigerous cyst- a rare case report

Dentigerous cysts are the most common developmental cysts of the jaw, most frequently associated with impacted mandibular third molar teeth. Bilateral dentigerous cysts are rare and occur typically in association with a developmental syndrome. The reported occurrence of bilateral dentigerous cyst in the absence of a syndrome is rare. Here we repot a case of bilateral nonsyndromic, dentigerous cyst in mandible of non-syndromic 15year old female patient.

Hypoglycaemiant and anti-hyperglycaemiant effect of juscticia secunda m. vahl (acanthaceae) on glycaemia in the wistar rat

In animal experiments, it is possible to induce hyperglycaemia in healthy animals. Subsequently, the administration of drugs makes it possible to measure the evolution of this hyperglycaemia induced. It is this pharmacological method that we used in this work to evaluate the effect of Justicia secunda on healthy animals and made hyperglycaemic. The basal glucose levels ranged from 0.59 ± 0.02 g / l to 1.2 ± 0.05 g / l in fasted rats used in these different experiments. From 2 to 3 g / kg BW, AEJs induces dose-dependent hypoglycemia in normoglycaemic rats.

Maxillary sinus lift and use of l-prf with a delayed instalation of implants - case report

Introduction: The technique of sinus lift is intended to rehabilitate edentulous areas in posterior regions of the maxilla, in situations of bony resorptions, other than being a predictable surgical procedure that allows the installation of dental implants. Aim: To demonstrate through a delayed implant installation, the technique of sinus lift associated with a graft of leukocyte and platelet rich fibrin in the posterior region of the maxilla, through a case report.

Effect of chlorohexidine mouthwash on color stabilityof ceramic materials (e-max, zerconia)

Tooth color restorative filling materials were heavily investigated for longevity and durability unacceptable color match or staining are the major reasons for replacement of restorations the aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of chlorhexidine mouthwash on color stability of ceramic materials (zirconia, E-Max). Material and methods: A total of 30 specimens of two types of ceramic materials were used; E-MAX and Zirconia the color shade was taken using (easy-shade) devise in Riyadh colleges of dentistry and pharmacy.

Manual vs. automated perimetry

PURPOSE: The study was performed with the aim to compare the relative advantage and disadvantage of manual perimetry (as on Bjerrum’s Screen) and computerized perimetry (as on Medmont Perimeter) and it was performed as per following guidelines-1) To study the importance of repeated documentation of visual fields, as done in the form of printout’s of Automated perimeter in the diagnosis and prognosis of different groups of patients.2) To prove the efficiency of Automated perimeters in determining precisely various Absolute and relative field defects.3) To prove the efficie

Effects of steam inhalation on patients receiving steam and patients not receiving steam prior to intubation

Background: Endotracheal intubation is a rapid, simple, safe &non surgical technique that maintains airway patency, protects the lungs from aspiration & permits leak free ventilation &remains the gold standard procedure for airway management. There are also several alternatives including LMA & the combitube. Both ETI & the use of the other airways are associated with complications.

Pharmasutical study of guggulu (commiphora mukul linn.) w.s.r. to its various shodhana procedures”

Guggulu is the oleoresin of Commiphora Mukul Linn., a plant that is native to India. Its extracts include compounds known for their hypolipidemic properties—the Z- and E- isomers of guggulsterone and its related guggulsterols.Kalpana is the process through which a substance can be transformed in to the form of medicine according to the need. During preparations of various formulations there are various Samskaras which are to be done for potentiating the drug or the formulation. Among all these pharmaceutical processes Shodhana is one of them.

The keratoacanthoma (ka) skin lesions in two zambian men:

Keratoacanthoma (KA) is a low-grade skin tumor that originates in the pilosebaceous glands. Clinically, KA lesions cannot be easily differentiated from a more serious skin cancer similar to Squamous Cell Carcinoma (SCC). (Keratoacanthoma, 2004) The tumor usually begins in the skin's pilosebaceous glands, or hair follicles and grows quickly over the first few weeks but do not spread to other parts of the body. If left alone, the lesions will usually disappear by themselves in 4 to 6 months. This condition usually occurs in older individuals.

Social determinants of non communicable diseases in kerala

Background: global disease scenario is shifting from communicable disease to non communicable diseases. Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) have been established as a major public health and developmental challenge. The rise in the prevalence and significance of NCDs is the result of complex interaction between health, economic growth and development, and it is strongly associated with the Social determinants of health (SDH).
