First report and preliminary evaluations of cassava brown streak-like root necrosis in Congo Republic

In the last 10 years, the Cassava Brown Streak Disease has spread across Africa from the east coast of Africa to central Africa. Similar root necrosis to cassava brown streak disease have also been identified in the Democratic Republic of Congo where the first symptoms were identified in 2002 in Kinshasa and Central Kongo province. In 2012, the presence of cassava brown streak disease was confirmed in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo. All attempts since 2002 in western Democratic Republic of Congo to identify the cause of these root necrosis failed.

Bibliographic mapping, on technical training of young people of the field and its relationship with human ecology in the Brazilian territory

We propose, with the writing of this text, the accomplishment of a survey of data in the bibliographical field, that makes possible to construct a dialogue between the thematic technical formation of young people of the field and their relation with the human ecology. Therefore, the main objective of this work is to carry out a systematic review, which we call bibliographic mapping, as a way to broaden the debate and strengthen the discussion about the technical formation of young people in the construction of a dialogue with Human Ecology.

Clinical swallowing evaluation scale in children with cerebral palsy

To develop and validate a clinical rating scale of swallowing in children with cerebral palsy. The proposed scale was developed based on the evaluation protocol used by a group specialized in the care of children with cerebral palsy. Ten expert judges analyzed the scale for relevance. The clinical swallow evaluation was initially performed by a specialized speech-language pathologist in seventy children with cerebral palsy. Swallowing was classified as normal, functional, mild, moderate or severe dysphagia. The proposed scale was applied by two other speech-language pathology experts.

Causes and consequences of transformation of rice cultivation into mango orchards: a case of North-Western Bangladesh

Agriculture of Bangladesh is predominated by rice production as almost all fourteen million farm families grow it in three-forth of the total arable land of the country. Apart from contributing to food security, labor-intensive rice production also provides employment to the majority of rural households. Since farmers immensely depend on rice production, any change in crop selection may reshape their livelihood. Hence, the study aims to investigate the causes and consequences of transformation of rice cultivation into mango orchards.

Obesity associated to high blood pressure in adolescence

Aim: To evaluate high pressure levels and risk factors of adolescents in high school of a federal institution. Method: Transversal, analytical and descriptive study, with 96 high schools within the period of March to June of 2016 in a federal institution of the Northeast of the state of Rio Grande do Sul. The data collection was carried out using a form of sociodemographical and clinical characterization composed by: anthropometric measures, high blood pressure and health background.
