Epidemiology of rsi / wrmd in northwest ceará, 2009 to 2016

Objective: To describe the epidemiology of Repetitive Strain Injury and Work-Related Musculoskeletal Diseases (RSI/ WRMD) in Northwestern Ceará. Method: A cross - sectional, descriptive and retrospective epidemiological study conducted at the Center of Reference in Occupational Health (COH), Sobral – Ceará, Brazil, with 404 cases of RSI / WRMD, reported in SINAN, between January 1, 2009 and 31 December of 2016.

A study on the attention of the elderly in the use of digital games in multimodal platforms

The aging of the population is increasing and with this new possibilities of study through technology appear. Digital games may be a possibility for effectiveness in the physical, cognitive and psychic areas of the elderly. The objective of the research was to investigate the perception of the elderly in relation to the attention, in the use of digital games in different platforms. The design of this research is descriptive, qualitative and cross-sectional. Five elderly women, over 60 years old, participated in the study. The evaluation instruments were semi-structured interview scripts.

A brief study on women problems in India

Women in the Indian society have been considered as inferior than men for many years. Because of such type of inferiority they have to face various issues and problems in their life. They have to go extra miles than men to prove themselves equivalent to men. People in the middle age were considering women as key to destruction so they never allowed women to go outside and participate in the social activities like men. Still in the modern age, women have to face many more problems in their daily life and struggle a lot to establish their career.

In this study, we address the modification of Newton’s gravity model to explain the potential to attract people between cities. The variables introduced as a weighting factor were of economic nature, as follows: Gross Value Added at Basic Prices in Industrial Activity, Gross Value Added at Basic Prices in Services Activity, Gross Value Added at Basic Prices in Agricultural Activity.

Participation of Refugee Women Living with Disabilities in Income Generating Activities was curtailed by exclusion and limited opportunities which sustained dependence to development organizations. The study therefore assessed the factors affecting participation of women with disabilities in Income Generating Activities in Kakuma Camp. Social Model of disability explained how enablers or barriers were sustained by society. Descriptive survey design was used with mixed methods approach for data collection.

Industrial development and hospitalizations for neoplasms in Mato Grosso Do Sul– Brazil

Introduction: The process of industrialization and urbanization impacts the environment and consequently the human health. Among health problems is the development of chronic diseases, where the risk of cancer has been the subject of scientific interest. Objective: To evaluate the relationship between economic and industrial growth and the increase in hospitalization rates due to neoplasms. Method: Ecological study, with secondary data on the Gross Domestic Product – GDP, resident population, and hospitalizations for neoplasms.
