A comparison of fmcg industry in India and the usa: The case of laundry detergent market

The Indian fast moving consumer good (FMCG) is projected to grow significantly over the next decade or so. In this paper, a detailed comparison of the detergent category for the Indian and the US markets has been presented. Using brand level sales, price, and promotion data, Logit demand functions has been estimated for both Indian and the US markets. The model provides us estimates of the “equity” enjoyed by various brands as well as measures of price elasticity.

The purpose of this descriptive, quantitative and cross - sectional study is to compare the scores of Osteomuscular Disturbances (DM) presented by 48 Basic Education teachers who participate in a continuing education program with previous studies. The data were collected through the application of the Nordic Osteomuscular Symptom Questionnaire (QNSO).

The importance of sazonal dynamics from a beach in the Amazon to a local tourism economy: the case of alter do Chão, Santarém, Pará, Brazil

The article presents an analysis of the seasonal dynamics of the river beach located in Amazônia, Brazil. The primary information was obtained in the village of Alter do Chão, through interviews with agents directly involved with the tourist activity in the beach that forms in the Amazonian summer period.

Determinants of profitability in Lebanese commercial banks

This study derives an empirical model for studying micro and macro-economic factors that affect the profits of Lebanese commercial banks represented by return of assets (ROA).The sample covers thirteen banks spanning the period 2007-2016. The panel least square is taken as the estimation procedure. Results are based on the cross section fixed effects model. Regression results shows that the whole model is significant, where capital adequacy ratio and total loans to total assets ratio have high negative significance in determining the bank’s profitability.
